Located just north of Madras, Oregon, Richardson’s Rock Ranch is a great place to take the kids. There is a rock shop located on the site, and if you call ahead or check the website you can find out about collecting hours and special guided trips.

Materials

The geodes here are representative of the quintessential Oregon thunderegg, and you can buy pre-cut and polished geodes in the shop. You can find Priday moss agates and also dig in the Kennedy agate beds.
